tio poison liao... saw the 300/2.8 in action during F1 beside me...and another nikon 400/2.8 behind me. haiz.... i think better dont go F1 next year unless i join as volunteer.

When I shot the RedBull XFighter challenge last time,
there were lots of big guns around me also.
Making my tamron 70-300mm so small as compared to them...

i think i will jump in if i found a really-jaw-dropping-price of 300/2.8 lens. but then again, it will be sitting inside the drycabi most of the time.

True also.
It does not make sense to buy one lens that will be sitting inside the drycabi most of the time. That's y I have changed my mind for not buying the 70-200mm F4L IS last time after selling my Tamron 70-300mm. End up I bought the 55-250mm IS only.
Now I am wondering whether I should buy the 17-40mm F4L or 17-55mm F2.8 IS to replace my Tamron 17-50mm F2.8.
