My 450D warranty is running out too. Haha! Ehh... 4.5 mths more I think. :bsmilie:

But I'm keeping it no matter what. :bsmilie:

 lich! :bsmilie: i can only change 1 body and change lenses with my current ones (now thinking which will better suit my events kind of shoot since i know what limits me - so many choices!)

Events, you can use fast primes if not fast zooms and probably 1 fast UWA.

That will probably throw u names like 16-35, 70-200 and etc.. Haha!

Actually if you know the limitations that you are facing alrdy then you should know what lenses should get alrdy. ;)

For me shooting events, the max ISO I will use is 1600. Wedding can go max 3200 - that's the limit. Haha!

Playing with noise to add elements can be of your advantage at times.

oh yesh, its a matter of which to get first :bsmilie: for the events mostly i dont dare go above 800.. especially later they need the photos to be big big posters/ presentations etc  our 450D abit can't handle ISO too well bah. especially worse in dim settings. i need faster lenses :p

Yes. Fast lenses.

Actually, 450D at ISO1600 with NR is still manageable. I printed 1 of my Pengerang photo on A4 shot in ISO1600.

But have to depend on what shots you are taking too..

orrh.. ISO 1600 in indoor dim event a bit totally cannot make it. and some/most of the time i might not be allowed flash, frustrating. oh well. :p bbb!

Haha. Yes, frustrating.

My church photography team usually shoot in ISO1600 even when we are using fast lenses. Expo hall is really really dark.

I also hav the f/4.

f/4 with higher ISO can be fast too.

ok my dilemma is, even sometimes with 2.8 lenses, i have to stop to about f/4 for group or multiple people in a frame. Thus have been putting off getting any 2.8 lenses la. (okok, the weight is also an issue). So does it makes more cow sense to up the body with better ISO management instead?

At the end of the day, a good lens must also have a good body to bring the best out of them.

lens makes a better buy. lens doesnt depreciate that fast, hold value longer than a body.
