Do u really need the VC for 17-50mm range?
I own the non-VC version and I am happy with it.
The only thing that I hope that Tamron to improve is its AF motor.
Seems like it is not improved for the VC version:dunno:

actually u are right.
with proper breathing techniques, u can likely end up shooting at 1/4.

IS or whatever their names called, they can only help to compensate your hand shake.

And to go under the 1/focal length rule if needed.

I use flim SLRs, and their lense have no tech, of IS, VC. Just human technique.

So much abt the 7D?

So how about the new 100mm macro L?

Haha, no idea. But does the theory lenses are more important than camera still apply? Looks like 7D might break that.

Ya, the IS/VR/OS/VC can only help to compensate the hand shake.
From my experience, it become very useful when the focal length is greater than 70mm.
For me, I can shot without IS at around 1/6s without problem when it is smaller than 70mm focal length.
But when it comes to tele, I need the IS.
So, I also hope that Sigma or Tamron can implement their OS/VC to their 70-200mm F/2.8 lens. Then I will consider these two lenses if they exist.

Both are important.

Body no lens cannot shoot and vice-versa. But of cos, a gd lens coupled with a gd body is a different story after all.

Can manually choose either 1 of the 51?

Some are just assist points to the nearest point u chosen. Am I right? Correct me if I'm wrong. ;)

u can manually choose 1pt from a set of 9,11 or all 45 points for 1-series cam.
the assist points are hidden and activated when using f2.8 as far as i remember.

With the 18MP sensor, the lens resolution become very important.
Just like Dpreview stated that 18-55mm IS kit lens can't really bring out the exact resolution of 450D inside the review.
So, lenses are still more important than camera for the absolute resolution.

I nth to buy leh.. Mayb get my tablet for sch la but also not at show buy. Haha! :bsmilie:

Hi Ryan,
May i know which tablet is best value to buy? Any recommendations for a poor man? Not too small bcos the old man can't see well on things too small. Tks.

I knew about that for the 1-D and yes must be at f2.8.

What about the D300? Get vin to tell us. Haha. :)

Then is the 450D a good body to you? Haha. For me i think it's decent enough. Takes good pictures.

Medicine shop have many "tablet". Haha. Okie i'm kidding :bsmilie:

Most tablets are small. Because they are mean to be portable.

Actually I m quite happy with the increase of AF points and all are cross AF points somemore. If it can be faster than 50D AF speed then it will really be a good selling point for the 7D.

for me, i believe more AF pts, a faster AF, bigger buffer are basically what i looking for. as newer models joins the market, i would not worry abt the noise as i believe the newer one will be better than the previous one. also best is having RAW & sRAW and also dual memory slots.

I see. Haha. I don't think i'd change to the 7D, at most a 60D, and 1 L lens. Other wise, i'd just get 2 L lenses.
