Hmm.... Oh yeah, I remember. Dat one eh? It was all over the shop in HWZ, its a pity the press did not give due attention to it probably due to religious sensitivities and possible backlash arising frm it. :(

I personally know the ex-CEO TTD when I was a volunteer with NKF for the last 5 years (before I went overseas for studies), and recently resumed my volunteering. Before TTD became the CEO of NKF, he was a successful lawyer running his own private practice. He was earning definitely more than what NKF was paying him then. And given his intelligent and motivation, I'm sure he definitely can earn much more than what he got from NKF for the last 10 years if he had remained as a lawyer.

Nevertheless, TTD has resigned and I won't want to say further on this unfortunate NKF's saga.

Whoever wanna flame me for what I said, go ahead. I couldn't bother more.

I'm very surprised that TTD is a lawyer. His performance in court is dismal and Davinder even had to tell him this:

Q. Mr Durai, the consequences are this. If you withdraw, you will expose yourself to a claim for costs because of the withdrawal, and the defendants will be entitled, as a matter of law, to costs unless His Honour rules otherwise.

"If you do not withdraw, notwithstanding the state of play and your answers, then, to use a term used in defamation, you aggravate matters and your costs may go up to an indemnity basis. I want to be fair to you to tell you that that is how it might be played out going forward.

Having regard to the questions I have asked you and your answers, having regard to what I have told you about costs, and having regard to his Honour's very fair counsel about you thinking about it, please tell us what your answer is. "

Nonetheless, getting back to the issue on hand, it wasn't so much his pay itself. The pay and the 12 month bonus for a charitable organisation funded completely from public donations by any standards is still pretty hard to swallow

However, what really matters is the lack of transparency and the web of deceit (all details in court) that had angered all of us. He took a lot of pains just to conceal his salary - and wasting public funds when Davinder applied to the court for a second and third time.

I have too lost faith in NKF and whatever they are standing for.
I would never donate to them ever again.
In fact i want my money back from the donations i made last nite.
I would rather throw my money into the drain than to give to NKF.

Am I hearing it correctly? I thought all the while you were very supportive of the NKF. Why the change of heart? :dunno:

Not surprising for me. He's already in a defensive position. He had to dig in to take cover, to be evasive. However, the artillery fire power on him was overwhelming. So gotta surrender and withdraw.

Davinder Singh I believe is the CEO of Drew and Napier and representative lawyer to people like MM Lee, SM Goh and establishments like SPH. He is also the MP of Toa Payoh GRC.

Imagine... Just imagine... If MM Lee and SM Goh are such powerful orators and political figures, would they appointment some unskilled, chimpanzee-blabbering rookie to be their representative lawyer? At least someone with 75% of their skills I must say.

Taking on Davinder is as good as taking on the Cabinet. :nono: 1 nice, clear, straight, slippery and smooth road straight to Hell.

ok, this isnt the best but i tried to make Mrs Peanut... :P
