Does it justify the way they :

falsify the figures of the patients,
the reserves of over $200 million,
fly business class,
golden taps,
use donors monies for wife's car's road tax?

Please try to be Sensitive....

One black sheep (no pun intended) does not make NKF a bad organisation. I have to agree with Mrs Goh, the patron, that the lawsuit is about defamatory comments by SPH and not about transparency of NKF. She even mentioned that for a organisation like NKF with 189m in reserves, paying S$600k is peanuts....

I do hope that the patients will not suffer because of this.

But her comments are made after the NKF CEO himself admitted that there is nothing defamatory with the report. $600k is not peanuts when it comes from donations.

If the patients suffer because of this than we will have seen the true colours of NKF since they have enough in their reserves ( $260m at last count I think )to last the next 30 years.

Human being behaves in a peculiar way. When you know tha NKF has 189m reserves, chances are you will not donate.

Why is it peculiar. Why would I give money to a charitable organization that will only use my money 40 years later when I can help those who really needs it now?

i tink it's easy. log onto your online banking and select terminate giro linkage option and with immediate effect, they link is terminated with a followup letter from ur bank....

I just find NKF these day become too commercial and really go for money.
Some of the movie recently at channel 8, 9pm starring Christoper Lee as Youfu, I think the movie really over emphasis on the cancer and I am not sure if NKF is behind this movie. But it just give me a very fake feelings about NKF behind all this movie. :dunno:
However I have to admit the message from the movie is very good.

I hope NKF not become too Commercialize and money minded. :nono:

any legal expert here? i need to ask some questions.

if, someone, a responsible Singapore citizen, after reading what had transpired in the NKF vs SPH court case, decided to fulfill his citizen responsibilites by walking into Commercial Crime Dept and lodge a complaint/report and request for a full investigation.

- Does that someone has the rights to do so?
- will CCD acts on his lodgement?
- if eventually CCD finds no fault in their investigation, is that someone liable to another "sue" by NKF?

How can a organisation be allowed to sue a person for lodging an official complaint with CAD, and if CAD takes up the complaint and further investigates, won't that also pull CAD into a world of perjury and party to supposed defamation claim by NKF?

If CAD chooses to investigate, it means there is something worth their time.If they do not, in what way would you be sued?By talking about NKF to a stat board?Whoa there..this is the NKF,not NSA and their Echelon system :sweat:

yeah, I guess it's ok to pay an OSCENE salary because they've built up OBSCENE reserves by denying legitimate claimants from receiving aid. That makes sense. :think:

The patients suffer? Stop making it sound like NKF will die overnight. They can run for more than 5 years if they receive NO DONATIONS, continue to run ALL their normal programmes, and on top of it STOP CHARGING patients as well.

You seem to be extremely pro-NKF. :think:

Well, do (I mean 'DO') remember to check your statement(s) every month just to make sure they don't re-link it back again. Cos this happens to my friend debit/credit card after he recieved a new one. Cheers dude.
