Wow, the image look sharper and more saturated with 35mm lens, although it is not fair to compare at different f-stop...
But I still wonder how the performance of this lens with D40, D40x or D60 since the CA is auto correct with a more advanced processor in D300

It's actually not that sharp at all at wide open. Comparable to 18-55? :dunno: But very sharp when stopped down. CA also gets better. Never really test out a lot though...

may i know how is the s'pore market for 35mm f/1.8G?
all avaliable stock? and price will be increase up?

I thought CA getting worser when stopping down?:embrass:

I think we got our reviews from sites such as photozone, dpreview etc...because that was what I thought too  But in actual use, CA was better when stopped down, no idea why too. I guess it also depends on the lighting, degree of contrast and also other actual conditions (variation of lens quality?) :dunno:

Does D80 and Nikkor AF-S DX 35mm f/1.8G Prime Lens is a good combination?

D80 + 50mm 1.8f AF D seems to be good enough for me, but Nikkor AF-S DX 35mm f/1.8G Prime Lens advantage it worth to consider (i hope price wont become worse and worse)

hi, Phey.
i saw it in Buy/Sell: Nikon Equipment is brand new also
come from Malaysia unit, price at $400.. damn high.
maybe u also can go and try to get from JB. hehe.
go from woodlands, just take bus 168 to jb custom.
n walk over city square, n take cab only.

Thanx rain...

does this means our transaction is canceled already? (sorry OT)

This lens is really amazing. These shots out of Singapore are just great. I think photographers with these lens can do amazing pictures. Kudoes.

haha i think so , it's great lens for without body motor user.

Hi all, would the 35mm f/1.8G be suitable as a portrait lens? How does it compare to the 50mm f/1.4D or f/1.8D (on a DX body) as a portrait lens? Thanks in advance!

Should be SBS Bus 160/170 or Causeway Link CW1/CW2.

Anyway, still looking for reliable shops selling photography stuff in JB... Any ideas?

is it normal for this lens to af 40% slower than the 24-70mm f2.8 lens?

i noticed the af of my 24-70 is almost immediate.

where as this 35mm feels little laggy
