Complete replacement Dry Cabinet Mechanism

Hello there

I'm wondering whether any kind soul would know of any person / shop/ company that can replace my old model 2-Door Akurai Dry Cabinet mechanism. This cabinet is many years old, and the drying mechanism has been changed once, and again was repaired several months back. The last repair was done by Cathay, and they repaired it instead of my asking for a new one. The repair apparently did not work, and I believe it has caused damage to my lenses (fungi). I'm trying hard not to buy a new one which will set me back S$400+,. In any case, the dry box condition is still very good, except for the drying mechanism.

So do any Dry Cabinet company other than Cathay sell the drying mechanism?

can try Digihub Singapore Pte Ltd ...they made the digi-cabi range of dry cabinets...so no harm trying to asking them at 64510010

I'm guessing any defect on the humidity control unit will show up on the hygrometer

I have to be frank and tell you that the costs of fixing are going to be not worth it.
You have already spent money on attempting to fix it, so its going to be a waste IMHO.

Unless you can find a like for like unit, your idea of replacing it with something else might not work. Each dry cabinet manufacturer have a different design and the unit's dimension will not be exactly the same. Is there an official distributor of Akurai in Singapore? You should try to find that out and that should be your best bet to get an exact replacement.

I agree that the cabinet can last a long time as long as you can find a replacement unit for the dehumidifying unit.
