[ Compiled Info ] - Cool accessories for EP1/2, GF1 and other m4/3 cameras

Anyone knows where can I get a leather casing for my EP-1?
Need it urgently by tonite if possible ....

Someone went further with what I used as hood for my E-P1 a long time ago, useful for those who already have a Hasselbald waist level finder and E-P1

.

is that a optical viewfinder seen through the liveview rear LCD? i wonder how much it cost and how sharp it is. it might be worth an affordable cost in the low hundreds as i'm used to eye-level viewing and composition. the electronic data is good to have too.... and if easily detachable, may not be too bulky to carry around. i wonder if it works for GF1

i have a rearshoe attached leitz viewfinder but the parallex error is difficult to cope with cos i tend to shoot at close working distance.

This is a good choice for a bag

Wish it comes with the girl.... ;p

yah, fully agreed. for the other gender, there is a handsome guy inside in small print side profile too.

but i find that the catch of the bag might be too cumbersome to use. or perhaps i'm used to the catch that billingham used, which is more of a looping and unlooping of the hole onto the stud. this conventional catch requires 3 steps to open, more troublesome.

That's a magnifier ... I loved using it on E-P1, especially under the sun.

Unfortunately, Hasselblad stuff is not cheap (I already had it so no problem), and one has to pay for that adapter too. For GF1, I guess the manufacturer can make one if there is a demand.

But IMHO maybe just wait for the next Panasonic that has a built-in EVF, or just use Pana EVF. For E-P1, no EVF at all possible, so had to use this.

mine is GF1. pana EVF doesn't work on it. as for the magnifier, good thing it can be folded in, bad thing is i probably got to forego the thought of buying a leather half casing, since i can only use either one at one time.

how much did u pay for that viewfinder then? or do u know the price-range expected.

GF1 ... I think the Pana EVF is made for that, isn't it ?

For waist level finder (with magnifier), it is expensive new, everything Hasselbad. Mine came with my Hasselblad camera, and I hardly used this finder as I preferred to use a prism finder. But I just checked eBay, lots of used ones, not too bad after all as some are below usd 100. You will need the one for 500 series cameras.

This was my crude use of it a long time ago, and I got lots of great pictures outdoors while using it which otherwise I would not have been able to.

Or if inclined, maybe buy a whole set of Hasselbad 500CM kit, used, and get superior image at the same time :)

misregister. somehow i'm thinking of olympus EVF when i read and type pana EVF. if this gear is easier on the eyes compared to the pana evf, i will go for this. the evf got to spend a lot, and does not work if i move on to other gear.

I know there are threads introducing accessories for the m4/3 cameras, but it's all scattered all over the forum, quite hard to find. I would like to make a full list in this thread.

Show us what accessories you've got for your camera and give us the links
Been running through various threads and found some of them, please feel free to contribute.
PM me if you want, will update it on this 1st post if possible. :) But I have to say this 1st, in order to maintain the quality of these "cool" accessories. I may not list out some of your recommendations due to maybe look too "normal", I apologised in advance -.-"

Nobody sells it except the shop in the link that I posted ...

that is the lens mount adaptor, not adaptor for the viewfinder onto the rear body of GF1, rite?

Well ... reading further ...

The article states that Akira Seiki makes the adapter for the vf, so maybe their website is not yet updated, but it shows their email.

And it is for Olympus, so you'll have to ask about GF1.

Or this guy too, he also has email.
