For those who are using the Lumix 20mm f1.7, you might want to get those metal lens hood to give it a rangefinder look. There is a US website that sells many metal lens hoods at quite a reasonable price.

I'm not sure about the soft button features, anyone got any views? But the LCD protector looks interesting, how you mount the protector? :what::what:

Soft Release ? Very old tweak for improving stability, probably most used among RF users (Nikon made some too), although I used them too on Medium format and SLR cameras. Some information about soft release from link below. Their product will not work on m4/3 camera, but info on the concept of soft release buttons is given.

Just a quick update for any GF1 bros out here.

Bought the Original Panasonic GF1 Leather casing at Cathay Photo today @ $49, really wicked stuff, would love the JnK casing but its way out of my budget for a casing.

Btw SLR revo @ Funan is selling the whole set for $93, better than what was quoted at cathay for whole set.

OT(since i cant find any recent threads on GF1 accs): Can i know if anyone feels that the VF is extremely needed on this cam? I'm so not used to it as i previously owned a dslr for a long time. Was quoted $299 @ Cathay, good price?
