Just spoken to a lady. According to her, $249 is their recommended retail price and will not sell any lower to end-user regardless of the number of order. Their dealers are not suppose to sell below this price too.

The last MO i joined, the PD70X was bought from Storage studio at $220. Dun think EG will reduce price cos they are the distributers unless you wait till the big shows. Think IT show they were selling at 199??

Yep. $199 without hard disk... Not sure abt the coming fair though.

Just as a suggestion, I checked out the latest ipod Video. And with the digital cam adapter, u can transfer at an average spd with it. Its not a perfect device but at least there's a screen.

Gotta do more research on how fast per 1 gig card.
