They do not want to tell me. One shop think that it will be around $1000.

Very unlikely @ $1000. The other 24-120mm VR is selling for less than $1000 or around $950. A safe bet will be $1200 to $1250. I do not see Nikon wanting to kill themself with that $1000 pricing unless 18-200 VR is meant to replace the 24-120 VR.

24-120vr is not dx lense.... 18-200 is dx....
