[ Coming Product ] : Panasonic GH2

Now, for the doubter in me, let's pixel peep those photos from the video to see if any of them was in focus. :bsmilie:

I want to believe that it did well.

Originally a Canon DSLR user... Bought myself a GF1... loving every moment of it.... Now I'm sorely tempted to get this.

Just get it. It won't disappoint for sure.

Sounds just like a Canikon argument. :o :bsmilie:

Nah...after viewing the videos, the GH-2 does seems to worth its bucks...but I will wait for further reviews before making the plunge.

The main page left panel has changed from GH2 back to GH1, the only way to access GH2 page is via direct address / flash click.

Wondering why they doing this.

Anyway, looking forward to this body if in affortable price range. Else, probably GF2 with same AF speed?

Well, as I was hinting, a focus lock doesn't mean the photos are in focus (where you want them). Besides, there is much more to a camera body than good auto focus.

Looks good in one simple but good test with ISO 1600/3200 on the net.

Next thing I want to know is stills resolution, hope the AAF is weak as in the GF1/E-PL1, a strong feature for those who mount high quality lenses and don't want these lenses to be smothered.

Only gripe so far is 2fps at full resolution, but still ok and not a dealbreaker, just means my wonderful dslr for fast action still has to serve beside m4/3 until m4/3 matures further.

I thought I would have no need for touch screen, but now think the touch screen can be very useful for fast af WITH good composition to catch a moment in the streets. Just quickly compose and point with finger without having to move some focus point to AF, saves some time to get decisive moments.

We shall see until December :-), should be a good personal Xmas gift, if it meets my simple expectations.

Any one know when this camera will be launched in Singapore?

Im interested in the possibilities of using articulated screen and am torn between GH2 and Canon's 60D.

Im currently using Lx3 and had use analog slr (Nikon F601) in the past, yes that was a long time ago. Is GH2 a good DSLR for entry level users?

Does the EVF offer 100% view?

Thks in adv

GH2 is a good camera, in fact, more or less all cameras today are good on paper, question is, do you like the images produced? GH2 isn't a DSLR since it doesn't have a mirror and yes, EVF offers 100% view, never heard of EVF or screen not offering that before, but I could be wrong on that but I'm sure EVF offers 100% view

2 premass production samples of GH2 will be available for trial usage on Sunday. Check out the gatherings thread =)

I'm not sure if anyone has noticed, but DPreview released samples taken with the new 14mm/f2.5 lens and the noise seems reasonably well controlled.

sigh .....

Just when I have almost settled for Sony alpha 55. Now I am stuck again on GH2 and a55.

Any help will be appreciated.

;p:confused::D

simple...do either of the following:
- get both, try it out and sell one OR keep both
- get a55, play until you are sick of it, then sell it and get gh2
- get a55 which you can play with immediately and don't look the other way (its a never ending, money losing game)

I'm just curious if the GH2 will fully operate the AF motor etc on the Oly 150 f2...The older GH1 would not AF...(via the dmw-ma1)...Anybody own the 150 f2? My plan is to buy the Oly 150 f2...(its a great lens in a very compact package)...I know the lens works well with the E3 ..E30..620 etc ... The E5 is nice but not compact (or cheap)...The Panasonic GH1 supposedly is not AF compatable(with the big OLY lens)...I have my hopes up for the GH2...Anybody know whats compatable and to what degree????:)
