I'm also back. Let's see what are the interesting things I saw...

There's just new marketing gimmick every time.

This camera is cool. Very cool

What? What?

Alright! Cheap cats!

Seriously? Multimedia capability on a sewing machine? Wait, that cost $13,888!?!? I have no doubt it can me the batman suit.

I think I remembered the warranty is only 2 years, as compared to 3-5 years for other brands. Not so sure also, u better check, unless u dun care about warranty la.
To me, the warranty is an indication of how long the product is made to last. Usually, the product will last at least for the warranty period. I have bought several stuff that failed just shortly after the warranty period... so zhun! :( If the product lasts longer than the warranty period, then it means you got lucky. But luck is not reliable... so I prefer to depend on warranty... unless price difference is significant.

mm i see! any opinion about seagate/maxtor hard disks? in terms of durability and reliablity.

So far from my experience and other pple's experience i've heard, it is not bad la.

I will go last day and cheong last min deals... haha... :bsmilie:

Anyone knows if the powerex batteries are good value at the fair?
think $59 for the 4 batt basic charger + 2 Imedion batts.

Eneloop or powerex better?

I think Powerex Imedion and their Maha chargers are the best that I ever used. I came from another hobby that used rechargeables heavily and other brands just cannot compare.

It doesn't sounds like a good price, according to eastgear catalog I got in July 2008, a 4batt 1hr travel charger is $48 only (MHC204W), and comes with 4 free batteries. For a better one (MHC401FS) plus 4 free batts, its $56 nia.

Unless you are talking about the newer better models like MHC9000, which is $99 plus 4 free batts. If its that one then very good deal. A bit unlikely though.

Thanks a lot for your reply. As suspected, their prices at the fair are the same as in store la... no offer...
They are not selling the $48 charger at the fair... or maybe don't carry anymore... :dunno:
What are the features of this charger and difference from the others?
No slow charging and don't have individual cell circuits??

any dry cabi for sales?

No... did not see any.
Anyway, dry cabi at these shows usually don't have fantastic offer. Just get from shop.

BARNEY LIVES IN DRY CABINET

Stalls at fairs are expensive to rent.
Sometimes exhibiting brands do so just to maintain presence.
Anyway it is subcontracted out to retailers to represent each brand.

Comex and other such fairs have become a pasar malam.

Do not expect a Photokina-level of fair.
No ground breaking technology revealed for the first time here.

Computer fairs in Singapore have never been about show casing the latest tech. Its always about the SELL SELL SELL and BUY BUY BUY.

GOt myself a 1TB MyBook Essential! That should last me for quite a while I think.
