hi all

I've been trying to use the search engine to help in my search of the marketplace postings... or sometimes even to re-locate an ad I saw previously. I would say that 90% of the time the engine cannot find what I'm looking for andI have to do a manual search.

Am I doing something wrongly, or is it just plain ineffective?

We are aware of the search function problem in Buy&Sell sub-forum. This is due to the form-based posting of the threads.

One workaround to the problem is to post a reply to the thread which will then get the thread indexed in the search database.

what a brillant solution

Another way is to bookmark that thread by "subscribing" to that thread.

But I find unsubscribing threads difficult. Not as easy as deleting PMs.

Actually, the interface to delete subscriptions is as easy to use as the PM interface.

Just go to the USER CP area and under subscriptions, you can see a list of subscribed threads. You can then tick the checkbox next to the thread you want to remove from your subscription list, select the DELETE option in the drop down box at the bottom.
