Oh man. So sad to hear that. The weather today was bad. I was praying for a good weather for you guys so that you all can enjoy the SSS on Ubin because there's a lot of things shoot.

BTW all Bros : I was using the 6 AA Bat in my Bat grip, after 285 shots (RAW) and many reviewing, its still Full Bar on bat indicator. So safe to estimate it can easily last more than 500 shots. maybe more.

Rain water jutting down is pretty difficult to catch. Try a faster shutter speed.

I think flash will probably help as well (especially when set at relatively low intensity).

SHITTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!! my 1000d got dust inside.. at first i tot was my lens.. but i used all my lenses and found it on the same spot.. a black dot... cakka adviced me to do the dust deletetion thing but not working.. how to get that black spek of dust out? anyone????

Draken did mention that Canon can do it in 2 hrs or so, cost $22. next time careful when and where to change lens. And good practise after outing, take all stuff out and vacuum bag.

If its at the same spot, means its on ur focusing screen.. Its the lil plastic thing on the top jus above your mirror.. First time i experienced the same thing i tried using blower, brushing, use cotton bud.. Still could not remove.. In the end, i carefully use my lil finger to brush it away..

2nd time it happened, i left it there since it didnt affect my images.. After a few days of shutter release, it dislodged itself.. You may wish to try using your lil finger to remove it..

But no worries.. If you can see it at that same spot, means its not on your sensor.. Dust on your sensor will only show in your images..

So now i just give it a blow everytime after usage.. Same for my lenses.. Blow + Brush + Wipe with lenspen..

Yeah The dust on the viewfinder thing quite slack.. But if really terrible dust on sensor get it done professionally.

on the view finder, i cant find it... but on the picture the dot will be on the bottom right hand side.. so if i were to clean the top or where it has to be clean.. which side would it be? cos im not sure if it might be inverted or smth..

Hows the trip?..lucky ur camera all not wet...Did saw a few shot of u guys at ubin at our club 1000d photo thread..not bad.

Anyway, u did try with AA batt,,not bad ah. like dat i got no worried if my li-on batt went low batt. atleast the Alkaline batteries can help. power power.

what happen?? how come got dust insert to ur camera. Like dat i also need to be very careful leh..i suggest u better go to CSC. Spent a bit money, since chakka said it only cost u $22..guess should be ok.

Like my case recently. The person who bought my 75-300 II USM call me and complain that my lens got fungus..so ridiculous..its a new lens..and i took care of it wisely. and summore, he and me did try a few shots on his 5d, the day he bought my lens. everything was ok. den i say to him nicely. U call me also i cant help u.U cant expect a refund or a claim, since u already know there a risk buying 2nd hand lens. I not threathening him la..but he mention fungus lehhh..so stunned and fed up. Guess its not my prob anymore. I wish him good luck only lah. heheheh

for my advice is pls dont use finger to clean that focusing screen. last time i also have some dust on same spot . i tried to use fingure.and blow and cotton bub .But the more u touch the more worst. finally i can remove the dust but i notice that my focusing light (red dot)is blur at the conor and top. Not even in the day time , at nigt time also very hard to see. and finally end up need to go to canon. they got ask did i use anything. but i told them white lie that i use blower only . lucky they got change new glass for me . :sweat:
