help needed.

can em-5 use SDHC UHS-I card? such as the Sandisk Extreme 45mb/s 16gb or the 32gb?

a bit OOT but the prices of Sandisk Extremes have gone down quite a lot, can pick one 32GB one at 70-ish. Got free Kata camera strap some more.

Can. I am using the 32GB one with my EM5

Arghh...Dunno what is happening to my 16gb extreme.
It can work on my Nex7, PC, notebook, etc, but will get card error in EM-5.

The 32gb that i collected though can work.

vpost japan?

Camera always seem to ship from Japan without batteries. Something in their postal regulations must forbid mailing them. Can a Japanese forum member explain it better? I'm just guessing.

Well most of the time EMS in Japan forbids lithium ion batteries in EMS, even players with built in batteries. Tenso.com can still send products with batteries in them via UPS or something, but not send a separate battery by itself for some reason.

Try formatting the card using the cam.. I could do it using the ep1 and now the ep3 so I suppose you can do it too with the em5

Gd to know, tks for sharing

Got my hands on the EM-5, so impressed with the high ISO performance that I've decided to turn Noise Filter to 'Off' to get that ever slightly sharper image.

The Panny 25mm f/1.4 lens is glued to my EM-5, it's the perfect pair.

There aren't any BLN-1s on eBay yet. I'm set up to get daily niotification emails when any are listed there.

However, Gariz half-cases for the E-M5 showed up on eBay for the first time today. I use their half-cases now on my E-PL2, X100, and X10 with their bandolier style "gun shot" straps. They are all well made, attach securely, and allow full access to controls and the battery compartment. The E-M5 model doesn't hide the side SD card slot. They let the camera hang by your hip out of the way but handy, no weight on your chest or neck. For me, they're the only way to fly.

I just ordered a smooth black leather one for my silver E-M5 (when I get it). It's expensive at $113.95, but the first ebay seller of them, ifgmarket in Korea (where Gariz cases are made), offers free shipping. I'm a newbie who can't post links yet, :sticktong but you can find these cases if you search eBay for "Gariz E-M5" or similar in Cameras & Photo. Gariz makes similar cases for a lot of MILCs and better zoom P&S's, so search on brand and/or model.

Think you better edit your post before people misunderstand and anyhow go google. :) It's BLN-1, not BLM-1. BLM-1 is for the earlier E series like the E-1, etc.
