When did you contact MSC? Did they give an indication of which day of this week?

I pre-ordered the black E-M5 with 12-50 kit lens from MSC, too. I had a choice between silver and black, but I think the black is more discreet. Hope to get my hands on the camera soon!

They told me the stock come out black ones only.

I heard local shops is this weekend for stocks to arrive. Black only, silver have to wait till end of the month.

Also, I'm happy to report that there's no rattlesnake sound with the Pana Leica 25/1.4.

Just got reply from Olympus Singapore's FB PM as below:
"Olympus Imaging Singapore: Hi Denise, the silver E-M5 will be available on end of April 12"

I guess what they meant is end of April 2012.. and not April 12th hahahahaha(hopefully I am wrong)...

Its not ideal to say an item is available at the 'end' of a specific day.

Anyway.. I can smell that the black is coming out not later than this week as promised! Those who pre ordered should smell the aroma of the 'black' omdems now.

Did u try point ur camera at a dark area then point back to a bright area? Any aperture blade sounds?

To be frank, the OM-D sliver ones from far I tot it was Canon EOS 50,

The OM-D sliver is not as good looking as the E-P3 sliver.

Just tried, no sound at all.
In fact the camera is very silent. I can't even hear the reported hum that some Japanese users were complaining about.

Only sound is the beep sound of the AF lock. Wish I could turn that off, then can really go into stealth mode.
I think the beep sound is even louder than the shutter sound.

You can turn off the beep sound. Its in the menu somewhere.

It's end of April 2012.
But I suspect the actual date is around 20th April, as per what Olympus CS told me the last time. But that's the date they reach, so expect some buffer for distribution to the stores.

I just brought it out in the afternoon, but no I don't dare try. :bsmilie:
