:
Fonz led us over to Blocks 17-20 neighborhood..... markets, hawker center, coffeeshops and alot of other shops catering to the needs of nearby residents
:

BUT the variety of stuff on offer was mind blowing...... we found this.... for $1 a piece... and I believe the Angkor story was 2009 July's issue !!! Couldnt help it... picked up a copy... it even came with the regular huge inserted poster !!! I dont think you can go wrong with a $1 NG thats 2 months off the press.

Man, that got to be scary looking down.

i was looking up :bsmilie:

i recall someone telling me that the grilles were put up in the 80's as a safety catch as there were many 'accidents' of people falling through. guess the architect didn't expect people to use the stairwell as a shortcut.

These grills were also installed in other housing estates such as Rumah Tinggi area.
A popular "shortcut to the other life" in the 70s and 80s.

nice staircase photo with fresh perspective. didn't know before there was mrt, such staircase was used for "that".

:)

this is very low-angle shot. how did you do it? surely you did not lie down on the road right? did the subject wake up after hearing your shutter click?:)
