Hi all! I am actually the lady in blue t-shirt.Didn't expect the organizer to be so young. Anyway thanks for organizing the outing, managed to meet new people and thanks Iszan for showing the way to the famous Chinatown spot for taking skyline photos before Pinnacle was completed.

harlowez, well its juz the HDB block directly behind the temple.. just head up the lift C n take it to lvl 24... over there you will see a very nice view of the CBD.. in the evening it will be better..

There is actually another spot which is at People's Park(I dunno centre or complex but its the green building).Took the lift once to the 4th floor and the view can see chinatown and CBD:bigeyes:

@ZerocoolAstra: thanks, that encourages me a lots . Yup, looks like the kit lens 18-105 has distortion which i have fully tested yet

@winkoo88: which lens you using? the photos look sharp

With the repeating roofs of the shophouses, it would be a better idea to compose with the idea of juxtaposition, whereby you have a continuous pattern (the roofs) broken by something that stands out. I can't find any example pic at the moment.

I was trying to find something to jutaxpose against the shophouses but couldn't find anyway. Maybe didn't see hard enough or need to wait for evening to see which bldg stands out.
