Almost fall prey to this Wee Kang scammer with the same tactics of buying the camera for his son in Philippines. Was about to prepare the item for shipping and decided to call up the official PayPal to double check, and they advised to ignore the emails and transact solely via the official app or official website, and this Wee Kang has not paid yet. Initially he was rushing to have me reply, but when he double blue tick me and did not reply further, I decided to check over here and realised he is really a scammer. Reported and blocked him on WhatsApp.

It is 13 April 2025 on the day of posting and this is the third time I've received this sort of scam. I call it Clubsnap scam, where a buyer comes up with a story where he needs a camera for someone he/she loves and requires you to send over the item.

Utilizing emotional manipulation, this works with most people. Personally, I would always prefer someone to inspect and deal in real life. Careful all!

Has been a member of clubsnap for many years 1st time in my life almost got scamed

Day 1 enquiries
Day 2 do some searching of the name email
Nothing comes by
Day 3 finalize
Day 4 arranged and my 50 1.2 z was picked up by fedex
after arrange and search name+scam and cLubsnap appeared with the results


Couple hours later, cancel shipping after so many comment here..same stories and payment .

please be reminded not to engage in any transcations that require deposit or sending money online or items overseas/via courier. we have many fake accounts registering from overseas (e.g. india, pakistan, ukraine etc...) that the system has detected and deleted. however, many of such accounts still slip thru. please use the 'report' function when you come across such accounts. thank you.
