Christmas Markets in Germany

Yes, I like the region much better than the rest of Germany. In fact, I go to Germany quite frequently both for business and leisure. My favourite is place is actually Munich and I am planning to bring my family there again next summer.

So, which city do you work in?

sorry for taken such a long time to write this back..

I went to Stuttgart and Freiburg as well as the Schwarzwald for a short trip.

Am currently based in Göttingen, but will be doing abit of interstate travelling when and if i get assignments that will require that.

maybe even inter countries?!

i took some shoots of heidelberg's (located between freiburg and frankfurt) christmas market in the old town. i have the advantage to live in heidelberg area as im german ; ). the atmosphere of these markets r simply unique. to see the glow and happyness in the kids eyes while thinking and waiting for christmas eve and especially the presents ; ). what you have to know is that every - even the villages with only 500 or so habitants- have such christmas markets. of course they do not take place for 4 weeks...only a weekend...but there is even more atmosphere then at the big ones.

Sorry for taking such a long time to read your post as well (I was back in Singapore for holiday and has limited access to internet)

I have actually planned a trip to Schwarzwald 2 yrs back with my parents and family. However, it did not materialise as we decided on another destination. Anyway, if time permits, I will make a trip there this year. It has been many years since I went to Schwarzwald region. In fact, it has been one of my all time favourite destinations in Germany.
