Besides, manual lenses makes a lot of sense on EOS camera, be it CZ lens, OMs, M42, whatever. Canon lenses rely heavily on electronic adjustment of the aperture, which makes some type of shooting difficult. What type? Err... depends lah! :bsmilie:

no ah, I don't have any L lens. the only good canon lens I have is the 100mm macro, that guy is sharp. the zooms are a wash out. went to the recent canongrapher outing, everyone got L lens, so I have to get something different since I can't afford any Ls

L lens also uses electronic adjustment of aperture lah!
CZ lens is more "manual" and the aperture adjustment is just valuable in some instances.
Anyway, to you, the last thing you need is AF what! What's the point of USM for you, when the sensor would most probably focus on the background (with more contrasting lines) than your subject (which tend to be small).

Anyway, if you're happy with a sharp 100mm macro, why get another? Spur the economy huh? Or just the joy of getting more in your collection?
And do you do print-outs? If not, then better think twice about getting lens for the point of sharpness. Sharpness can easily be "bluffed" when viewing through CRT or LCD.
