Well, they are roll up nicely in a light-proof canister right? So what's the worry?

Problem with LF is that, unless you develop the negs, the only place to leave them in are in the film holder, which are of course the same film holder in which you put in unexposed negs to do shooting mah!

Fungi need water to grow? Hmm... so are they saying that only moisted lenses/ glass/ CD are suceptible to fungal growth? What about those fungi that causes grows in the oil refinery, spoiling huge amount of oil spoilage each year? What about fungi that grows on salted-fish? What about fungi that grow in absolute alcohol?

Don't think so. Suspended state, while requiring basically next to nothing, still require oxygen (very very small amount). So in a real, perfect vacuum, like space, fungi shouldn't be able to grow. In a non-perfect vacuum, like artificially made ones (non-analytical vacuum), fungi (as well as bacteria) should be able to survive as resting spores.

Fungi can't survive in high-heat though. Haa~!
