which estate is your new house?

thanks quekky!
our little beehive is in Kembangan, Radix, still under construction, hoping it'd be ready by this June. :)

i just got oto's etap today! its quite comfy.. but abit tiring to keep holding it while massaging the tummy.. heh, cant free up hands to do other things.

hey all,
here're some pix i took of my fren and her bf.

my first attempt at portrait shots.. i noticed my shots were grainy.. colours not too intense either.. not sure if its cuz of the limitation of my camera? (Olympus C-770) it was taken at his apartment.. lighting wise quite dim, dun have any fancy flash either.. not sure what i can do to improve the quality of the image?

comments appreciated ya? thanks!

nice! your friend poses well I think. she looks comfortable.

did you use auto-mode on your Oly? the cam probably pick a high ISO to compensate for the low light, hence the grains. get a DLSR which will give you better low light performance if you have no other lighting choices.

Good morning!!
I have decided to start saving up for a dSLR this year...

Here's my target list:
2nd hand:
D100
S2Pro

or new:
D70s

Any comments on these choices?

hi furry, choose a cleaner background & use a wider aperture. try to use a directional main light- flash/lamp to give a bit of depth.

err, u mean use flash, even in broad daylight? wun be too harsh on the face?

as for the background.. was limited by space constraints.. we were at her bf's condo, not much clean backgrounds around. twas an impromptu session. just need her to do something for me for my school project, ended up a "mini photoshoot" instead. :p

key word is main light. judging by the photos it doesn't seem like it was sunny that day, just flat diffused daylight which is not the most appropriate main light. think in terms that flash becomes the main while diffused daylight becomes fill. but u need to be able to control the flash output.
ur working with basic eqpt, so it's best to shoot on a sunny day if possible.

problem with the low-end Nikons, they don't have batt grip. For sure will not fit Adam's hands.

use omnibounce or if built-in flash can try a piece of tissue to cover the flash.
