nice nice...how did u get your pixs the correct lighting.?
mine was very dark..(well, i was quite far away from them).
what lens did u use? thanks..

i guessing they all using 70-200 f2.8 lens ba...what lens you using?

f5.6 was good enough for the event...
The lighting was not even at certain spots, so it largely depends on where you're located at, at the main audience stands (area 1, area 2) the lighting was more than sufficient to shoot at f5.6 and lower iso, but other locations was pretty bad...need f2.8 and iso 800 and above to get useable shutter speeds.

Agree. Have problems getting a good decent shot. Lots of noise in my pictures as I have to use ISO 1000. :(

Same situation as with Cesoon.

It is always difficult to have moving shots at open areas especially at night without flash. The challenge will then be the person holding the camera and the camera itself... How to get a good shot?

Your shot kind of blur but I was reading Sunday Straits Times and found out that the pics are blur too! :bsmilie:

It will not be easy to capture beautiful static shot unless the subject is static with enough lighting, using high ISO, use flash if the subject is quite close, use big aperture lens & use VR camera or lens. Almost all shots require handheld as all are moving objects with high and low angle shots.
Basically, it is quite a challenge on taking night moving object or people..also you need to potrait the people is moving as this will convey the message across the viewer. Static picture may look clear but it don't have the sense of movement.

i was right in front of them...brought the wrong lens cause expecting to be far from the performers...so can see that all is half body shot...I use the lens with a red rubber band on it...hehe..

I push the ISO up to 800 and using f2.8 all the way...use flash to fill in but of course u need to control ur flash, if nt will be overexpose...
