Hi guys, just made an update on the listings, kindly amend accordingly, thank you.

I think it is really up to you... depending on how steady your hands... not forgetting that the Chingay 2003 is in the evening...

got a question: since the parade is at night, i guess i'll have to be using slower shutter speeds, but won't that make the subjects very blurry? will using a higher iso help?

FYI.

Preview (Fri): -
Seats might or might not be opened to the public.

Actual day (Sat): -
Seats reserved for only tourists who have bought the ticket. If they do not show up by 7.30PM, it will then be opened to the public.

Else, else just have to stand or walk along the streets...

I hate shooting in low light... it kills my brain cells...

Pls advise on the type of lens to bring. I think a 17-35 and 28-105 suffice, right ? A telephoto lens > 100 would be useless in the low light unless you have a tripod.

For those who have responded for the Friday Chingay shoot, I suggest we meet on that day at 1900hrs at the Peninsula Burger King, CP side. Any other suggestions?

I will most likely be shooting digital, for those who need Provia 400, please let me in advance by SMS/phone, but NOT through posts/pm. Thank you.

This will be low light event, so large aperture and high ASA is added advantage.

i oni brought 28-105mm last year. able to get some decent close up shots from the gallery. dun think >100 wld be necessary unless u want to zoom in one juz one person's face.

there are always photographers in the prep area but they need a tag/pass which they wear around their neck. i saw many when i took part in chingay 2 years ago. tried to go in take pics last yr but was asked to leave. juz find some way to get in.

the seats are provided by the sponsers...in which the tickets will be sold ONLY to foreigners/tourists...

to attract them back to singapore...

locals...NO CHANCE to buy the tickets...unless u LKY's relatives then dont say lah?
