I guess i can say it works both ways.

My hope is for the HK people -- like you -- to cool your heads. Stop spreading hate, and fear. Majority of the Filipino people symphatize with the HK people -- especially the victims and their families. But we all should let justice run its course. We all should wait for the investigation to be done and over with and not -- at this early stage -- soil it by innuendos.

:Later,

yeah right

The M16 have a chance to be DE-ARMED, but it was NOT done so.

Ya.. the hostage taker is TRAINED.. And the ENTIRE POLICE FORCE is NOT AS WELL TRAINED. you win.

Ya. The local govt and police force did a GREAT help to the hostage taker.

Good that you point out all these.

Like I say earlier.. if the pple feel it's ONE person's crime issue........ what can other expect anything good to come out of it.. say more also no use..

:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup: well said!!

what common sense are you referring to?
Your 'common sense' to blame the whole country and all its people for this tragedy done by one lone crazy killer, and then bungled up by another few persons.......you can't generalise and blame the whole nation, makes sense to you or not?

i read lim's post again... i don't think he is blaming the whole country... he is blaming the police etc..

Oh please spare us. Tell me:

- Were the terrorists holding an M16 (among others)?
- Were the terrorists a trained and formerly a bemedalled police officer? One who knows how his former colleagues would most likely react
- Did the terrorists have the benefit of a TV that shows everything that's happening around him LIVE.

Enough with the "what ifs". It serves no purpose at this point IMHO.

:Later,

What's the difference between a terrorist and a bemedalled police officer holding whatever weapon that kills innocent ppl?

I concur, he was directing the issue to the individuals / groups involved. Not the whole nation.

Ok, I read the post, looks like he is not directing it to the whole country my apologies.........

But just write what is in brackets, and not: 'it's citizens (as in general meaning the whole people of that country)'.......sounds like he is mentioning the whole country when you read it that way

My fault

Hong Sien

And I thought it's the NBI who's gonna do the investigation.

:Later,
JMHO,

Police dept., Justice dept., or National Bureau of Investigation, what's the difference? Why should one expect NBI to be better than other government officials? After all, they are all government officials that look after their own 'special interests'.

To be honest, I don't expect anything decent to come out of the investigation. It will be one big cover up to make sure the high ups don't get implicated knowing how it operates there. You should know better than I. Or, are you naive enough to think the majority of these officials are really servants of the people?

that's my feeling too...

although i am not a hong konger, i must say i am very very disappointed with PH...

i saw in a chinese local newapaper last Wed a pic of a PH police offer using his hand as a pistol... i hope u know what i meant... like what we did when we are children playing...

I've given you clues. If you do not think they matter in a hostage situation, then I rest my case.

FYI, he's referring to SIA Flight 117. .

I guess there's nothing more to say.

Again, I just hope cooler (and sane) heads will prevail.

That was a photoshop job, bro. And that was an old pix (not from the tragic incident being discussed here).

:Later,

I'm going alittle out of topic here. What is ":Later,"? I noticed you write this every post. Later is your name? :dunno::dunno:

Just to mentioned another example..

An SQ plane was hijacked. FOUR terrorist.. A plane full of passengers..

terrorist taken out within .. 30secs? ZERO innocent casualties..

The Thing is, the local govt did things RIGHT, and prevented a tragedy..

Correct me if I'm wrong. Werent the hijackers of SQ117 armed with butterknives?

if the pics are real, i find it a bit absurd that people actually take photos in front of the bus, as though it is some kind of a tourist attraction.. really shows the way they view this whole situation..

These are NOT Photoshop stuff. They are real, those people actually stand there and took pictures like it is a tourist attraction. That is why HK people are so upset. Maybe it is a local custom/practice or something that HK people don't understand. Even the forenic officers pose in front of the bus.

Oh please. Obviously you only want to hear what YOU NEED to hear. Your emotions are getting the better of you.
