Ansel said:The Hoya SMC (super multi-coated) UV 67mm is only about $20. I think is very good value.
Robin said:Thanks Ansel..........B + W.....filter.....how much is that espn.....?
espn said:The price is around there. Good stuff the B+W is.
Btw you should be looking at the B+W MRC 010 UV Haze filter.
Ansel said:List of supplied items are as follows:
Strap, body cap, eyepiece cap, LCD monitor cover, video cable, USB cable, rechargable li-ion batt EN-EL3, quick charger MH-18, Picture project software, MS-D70 CR2 batt holder. Printed manual.
18-70 DX Lens is in a separate box with front and rear lens caps, lens hood, and a lens pouch. Leaflet.
There is only one more essential item you need to buy on the spot or very soon after, that is the CF card. The kit doesnt come with any. I would recommend at least a 512 MB card.
Then, maybe a UV filter for the lens?
virtuoso said:what's an eye piece cap? I did not find this...
Ansel said:This is a small rectangular plastic piece DK- something, used to cover eyepiece to block off extraneous light when your eye is not on the eyepiece, eg when taking self-timer shots.
This piece is very easy to misplace, so watch out.
