HEEE! Coolie man:thumbsup:. I just stating in general, just in case someone comes along and scream haha

Anyway Thanks to Confess for refunding the money for e 2x 2yr acct! Guess it will be used for a 2 yr account thru yahoo...

i'm just curious, how much cheaper is the pro account?

if u guys, buy it directly from flickr.com, it is just ard $3 per mth. why do u risk yourself by doing so?
Yea that kind of price ain't too bad, is it? That's like less than a meal nowadays. Heck a mocha frappuccino from Starbucks costs $5.50 at least.

i thought it was a belated April Fool's day prank, but turned out to be real.

confess, just PM'ed you too btw, please check.
and i hope everything is turning out fine for you as well.

thanks.

Honestly, I don't know whether its a scam or not. But Darcy Zhou and I have matched account numbers to the person who has sold us the Flickr Pro accounts. They belong to 2 different nicknames. If there is no intention to cheat, how come one same account numbers with 2 nicknames on clubsnap.

We all understand that the person has return or refunded our money because we all have his account number, phone number and the PMs we got and many of us were involved. He would be left stranded if we all made a police report. And that is not $35 per person, that would easily mean compensation and possibly jail terms for fraud. And I think the situation will get worse if it was feedbacked to Flickr.

Sometimes, people just try their luck at quick cash. Some people who bought will just go" Heck, it's only $35" Where got friend give him so many accounts one? Obviously, someone is making a profit or commission from selling this accounts.

Wouldn't you question your friend how come he has so many accounts?

imho since he has reponded very fast and refund very fast with no questions ask...
I'll let it go... dun care how many account he has.. just chill

I'm chilling already. If I'm not chilled, that guy probably be in the police station by now. My posts was up just to prevent more people from being misled.

I'm just stating facts. But I seriously don't understand why people still can be so nice to him and even praising him for his "good" after sales service.

So much for

"Because the guy has returned me the money. I've promised him I will not pursue be it his fault or his friend's fault, but such scams are going on."

:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Seem like a good deal. Almost wanted to sign up.. Well...

John promise to refund my $35 tonight when i SMS him last night..

will check again tonight.

Hi Augiow and fellow CS member. The reason that I create different account is that 1 account can not duplicate the post and I want to sell more that's why i create other account. And at first I dun know how these code were obtain, I thought it is fine, but the moment I realised it is not, I immediately stop getting the codes and correct my mistake. The other nick under me is Treopro.

Did your friend tell you how it was obtained? and how do you plan to deal with your friend now?

Nisa: To pursue meant to pursue legally.

And for your reference, I didn't mentioned the person's name except to 2 persons in this forum Azul and Darcy. And it was through private message.

My purpose of this thread was for 2 reasons:

1) Informing people of such scams going on hoping people won't make the same mistake as I did

2) Telling people please go get your money back if you were involved in it.

And I think the person should be grateful to the nice people in CS who are not pursuing. If I really wanted to pursue, I don't even report to the police, I will just drop yahoo an email. And let Yahoo take up the case legally.

Let's put it this way. The person is already trying to deal with it.
It is not like he is running away and not dealing with it.
He can be seen grateful to those who asked him for refunds.
U got ur message out, so just leave it to others on what they want to do.

Personally I just don't understand why is there a need to harp about it.
It does take two hands to clap.
if one is not greedy, then the other will not have a chance to make use of the greed.

I am leaving it others to settle with whoever sold them the flickr pro accounts. I am not consolidating names who have been cheated and then taking actions against that person. I'm just stating the facts so that everyone knows what has happened. If I never mentioned that person created 2 accounts to sell, does anyone know?

End of story.

I think you missed the point entirely.. an attempt to cheat has been exposed in this very house. Still no clarity yet and we don't know as yet whether "confess" is directly involved or his friend was the main culprit.

Correcting a wrong doesn't make the wrong go away... it must be dealt with. So you are saying that as long as money was paid back the wrong is squashed?

On the part of greed... for my case I was thinking since he has a 2yr account which he wanted to sell, why not? I believe I was the first few who bought it, I was not informed that he had so many 2yr accounts to sell if he had told me that I would NOT have bought as it would be highly suspicious... also later when I saw more of such WTS... was begining to suspect something already and then all hell break loose.

Greed? then why people buy 2nd hand lenses and 2nd hand stuff, because there was value...

same here, he refunded though so its not a problem for me

If he has intentions to cheat, he will not pay people back.
Whoever had got their money back, of course can choose to go to the police for help to handle it, but most had given the person the benefit of doubt and accepted the refund.

I think in accepting the refund, the matter is SETTLED!

Even in buying 2nd hand stuffs, I would worry if a person offer it lower than what I expected. And questioned the seller. and I have a theory in life "Cheap things no good, good things no cheap" and believe in it STRONGLY.

and I definitely think some minor form of greed played a part in this. Not that I am saying people who had bought the gift codes are greedy....

got my refund as well, and i rest my case..

at least i see him as someone responsible enough to at least refund the monies back to us as a form of rectification to what has already happened and that cannot be undone. if you bring him to 'justice', what will you get? if not what do you expect him to do? buy a 2 year account for you out of his own pocket?

have a kit kat, and give that guy a break...

The more you (Nisa) type, the more I am going to type, and the more other people going to type. Never ending cycle. So if you want to do that person justice, don't type anymore.

End of story. I will rest my case here. This only involved those who are affected. Seriously,by adding all those extra comments, you are making things worse. I don't wish to answer any of your extra comments.

What do I potentially get if i bring that person to justice? Monetary compensation possibly more than $30 + dollars just by sending an email to Yahoo and possibly one less cheat off the streets.

I'm already giving the person a break by not reporting to proper authorities. I'm taking it as a lesson learnt
