Cats and Birds

Before you squeeze the shutter release the next time, check for distracting bg. Like this one, its a nice shot but the lamp post............

These two are pretty nice shots. See the dark bg? Get rid of it ;)

Yes, i will control my trigger next time :embrass:

Yup in the process of getting rid of the background, Isolation yah?

#208 is nice! :) But try not to crop off the right paw.
And #210.........................lol....................

roger that!

I kinda like 208 :D just watch out for the chopped off paws :) And of you are wonderng how wide you can go with cats... http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2592/3709697642_06714ec185.jpg :D Have yet to try a fisheye...

omg, your siamese looks so adorable! is he punching your lens? haha. yeah, i was also pondering in future whether to acquire a wide angle or fisheye when i have enough budget.

I think you can go with wide or ultra wide lenses on them. If you want to get comical looks, shoot them at weird angles. And if they are well positioned, should get a very nice dramatic shot.
Ya, your siamese looks cute ;)

Isolation.
Madmartian, I did crop out the distracting bg on the two photos, yes it looks better now! Thanks!

Tiger saw the silver cat doing the turnover on the ground for me, so he did his own version.

Generally for wide angles you will want to get as close to them as possible and have the features you want exaggerated near the corners of the frame :)

Good shoot! :)
#223 looks like a gentle giant, cute shot
#226 Nice focus on the eyes, good exposure, can do away with the body.
#228 give more space to the left. Not so nice with cat right smack in the middle. Certain shots may work but not all.
#230 is classic  good exposure
Keep them coming ;)
