Carl Zeiss 1700mm f4 lens anyone???

Hi all,

thought this will be interesting....

Of course it is not available in Alpha mount... I am sure if someone is rich enough to do a custom lens, it will be available in Alpha mount for them.

But at 256kg, You need a platform that is stable enough to even hold the lens...

think u need to use a mobile artillery turrent to use with it... 256kg, think need a crane to lift & mount onto the platform.

I don't think SSS is needed as this lens shall almost alway mounted on some automobile vehicle (may be a goft cart).

golf cart i dun think can move with that lens, 4 x 80kg (approx) the cart already move so slow, add the cart with a mobile artiliery platform & 1 navigator with 1 shooter, can prepare few flat tires... :bsmilie: not to mention cornering will topple...

i suggest mount on top of humvee... :thumbsup:

a humvee probably will drive most wild life away already, then you need a even longer lens to shoot :sweat:
