No you can't. OT is OT regardless it is done in your thread or others.

Just an illustration/example, you start a thread in Portraits and Poses with images of some model portraits and then you start to OT onto racing cars, women, drinking , sex, outing and everything except the images. Do you think it is ok and you have the rights to OT and to do what ever you like because you are the threadstarter? The answer is No, though you may be the threadstarter, but you are not the owner of that thread nor forum. This forum has it terms of use and rules and you have to abide by it.

Not mi... I alway see u guys give warning about OT in other ppl thread so just wan to ask whether is it ok to OT... Just wan to koe who came out so many R N G? If tat too much to ask? ;p
Rules are set by the admin and it is usually thru feedback from members. Usually we can accept a certain degree of OT. however, excessive OT and many a times when members themselves could not take the excessive OT, they do report and we will take action.
Rules and Guidelines are necessary to ensure that a community thrives and can live in a healthy manner. Every forum also have rules even overseas forum like dpreview.

you can ot a bit, but too much and photog thread become chitchat thread, if i am outsider, i come into "photo forums" and then i click on thread, is talking about random stuff but nothing to do with photography, will be du lan or not? :nono:
