xtremequantumx, thanks for sharing your tip...
But I still have focusing problem!!!
I just tried it on my cam after reading your post... I realized that when I'm at a distance using f1.4, I cannot focus on the face (it just doesn't beep), and that I can only focus on either the background or the foreground (the nearest object to the camera) and not on anything that falls in the middle ground range (the next nearest object to the camera)...
When you mention the focus works by contrast, what does it mean?
And sometimes it just refuses to focus on my subject, especially when I'm 3 - 5m away...I'm using 50mm f1.4... (is it because it's not bright enough? cos this problem usually occurs indoors...) and the focus usually falls on the objects that are very close behind the subject and not on subject.
Am I doing it wrongly?!? This problem was discovered since my first use of 400D. I thought it was the camera... or that I don't know how to use it yet... but I still dunno wads the source of the problem... is it because I'm using 1.4? But I need the aperture leh... cos indoors usually very dark...I'm using ISO 1600 also... caaaaan yooooou heeeeeeelp meeeeeeeeeee rectify this problem??????????
Thanks man... for answering my frustrations. Hahaha...
