There's a way to install Canon software from the updates if you do a minor registry hack (assuming you're using Windows). I don't regard that as piracy, since it comes with the camera, and it won't be of much use to you without the camera. However, the site admins may see things differently, so I won't describe it here. Instead, you can use your favorite search engine to find out what are the keys you need to create.

It also saves you some time in not having to install older versions of the software, then run the update (which basically uninstalls the older version, then installs a newer one).

Joke of the night - "I see your ball head". :bsmilie:

Nice meeting everyone :bsmilie:

Aiyo ... not the ball head thing

guys, remember to cover your ball head, else you ball may suffer pre-mature wear and tear. :bsmilie:

regarding the pano stuff (hugin freeware) i spoke about, you can see the finished photo here

http://denniskee.multiply.com/photo.../photos/album/44/landscape_around_singapore#1

anyway, if there is a Canon Users Outing II and somebody brings a tele-lens with tripod collar, I can show you guys how to convert your ball head into a poor man's gymbal head.

take a look at this sticky, hope the info can help you guys.
