In terms of high ISO performance, 7D >> 40D, 50D > 20D >> 10D. So, you have other cameras to choose from. You can also consider 450D and 1000D.
not sure what can a dual processor cam do to the noise level..

EF-S 17-85mm f/4.0-5.6 IS USM RRP S$1,199My feel that the EF-S 15-85 will costs around $1,100++. In this instance, I would rather get the EF-S 17-55mm f2.8.
Check out the noise review. Its ISO1600 is clean, ISO3200 is usable. ISO6400 is still ok at emergency. ISO12800 maybe for 4R prints.not sure what can a dual processor cam do to the noise level..
Hi, I have 5DM2, should I downgrade to 7D because of its great improvements over its predecessors.

Price for the older lens...
dual processor for noise reduction? I thought it was to speed up image processing to give 8fps... well maybe finish up the noise reduction algorithm faster if that is turned on...not sure what can a dual processor cam do to the noise level..
7D will most likely to be out at most stores this week.
Heard that it is selling at around $2,400++, definitely cheaper than Nikon D300s.
Yeah!!! :lovegrin:
Official price from Canon SG is $2699, plus it is a new product so $2.4k++ is considered good discount IF it is not grey set

Discount? :dunno:
$2,699 is the suggested retail price which only big stores like HN, Courts, etc will sell at. Most other stores like Cathay Photo, MS Color, AP, etc will sell at $2,400++.
I think that is provided you purchase with the 18-135mm kit lens at around 3.1K and then manage to sell off the lens later around $650.24xx in most camera stores I think...I got verbal confirmation from a reliable source.:thumbsup:
Canon should not come out this lens at all since it already has the EF-S 18-200mm.
I think they are just trying to match Nikon, lens for lens in the APS-C arena. :bsmilie:
