is there a remote shutter release for S3?

Dun tink so. You can use the timer. For long exposure, I dun think have, only 15sec max

Alternatively, you can link your S3 to your laptop (if you have one) and take pics remotely with the given software.

By the way, who has the Canon slave flash here?

Please advise on the usefulness of it. I thought of buying it for indoor shoot but not sure if it is feasible.

It is really not very powerful. Get the third party slaves, they cost the same and they are more powerful.

Any particular brand/model that you would recommend? Do you know the rough cost of it?

Din know we can do this. Haven't even install the software.

So can we have longer exposure then 15sec with this?

I dun think so. It just allow you to take photo "remotely".

I think it does. You can zoom the lens remotely, and even activate the intervalometer with the software. i.e, setting the camera to take a photo on its own at every 'x' period. (x = the time you set). I tried it on my pc and laptop before. :)

Can also set it to save the photos taken directly onto your harddisk (don't have to save it onto the media in your cam.)

What you mean is can have more than 15secs exposure once connected to pc?

You can have 15sec exposure with/without connection to PC.

The software allows you to shoot in Av, Tv, Manual mode. Aperture/Shuttle/ISO etc settings can be adjusted as you do in the camera itself. You can also zoom the lens via software.

Try it!
