Yup. The Canon adapter has 58mm threads. You can buy UV filters from many different companies and they all come in many sizes, one of them is 58mm. You just screw it on.

Ok, a normal Hoya UV 58mm is $8-10. Not to sure about the Hoya HMC UV 58mm, its a bit more expensive.

Yeah, I intend to get one. Will see how much $$ I have left over after getting my slave flash. Circular Polariser (CP) will help when you want to take picutres of the sky, ocean or reflective surfaces.

I finally found the Vivitar DF200 in Singapore. It has a tilt/swivel head, you can zoom it manually to four settings & you can also control the flash out put. Just what the Dr ordered of macro work. :D

If the stock runs out, I will get this. AP has it & the macro guy whos pics I like uses it. :)

Both are good I would prefer the Vivitar since you can control the flash output. Both have a guide number of 28.

Still awaiting reply from MS about Vivitar. There is another shop that supposedly had it about 2 weeks ago, I am calling them tomorrow to check. The other flash is from AP, should be about $50-60. Will infrom you once I have the price.

If I were to purchase the Canon Adapter and a UV filter - do they include the lens cap? If not how much will it cost? Thks for advise.
