i have s90 (not s95), but the optics are quite similar:
i don't like the small aperture at the far end of the zoom, which means having to shoot at very high ISOs indoors. there are occasional situations where the focusing is too slow for the point & shoot, but this doesn't happen that often (for the things that i shoot). DSLR sharpness is better, even with my 18-55, but it's usually not important enough that i'll bring my DSLR over my PNS except for dedicated photography trips. for indoor food shots in restaurants, i prefer my s90 over my DSLR due to the f/2.0+28mm wide angle+5cm macro combination.

Just started with the S95, so I would imagine myself hoping for my DSLR when I need a longer zoom reach or when I want less DOF as at the max zoom, I have only f4.9 in the S95. The f2.0 is only usable at 28mm.

Yes there is. The case has a protrusion to fit the raised dial of the S95. Hv only seen the brown one. Its got a bit of rustic look

just to share the price from JB...

I bought S95 from JB yesterday:
RM1350, 8GB class 4 SD card.

Top up RM100, i exchange the card with 16GB Sandisk Extreme III.
Also, the shop customized the screen protector, by cutting the 550D one to cover the whole screen :thumbsup::thumbsup:

For this price, i also get 3 years canon warranty. (register online).

with exchange rate of 2.382, i paid SGD$609. I find it a good deal.
