I dunno which other 'cheap' brands have non yellowish tint. The only brands I use are Hoya, Tokina and B+W.

Btw, the 'yellowish tint' can be corrected using proper WB.

AP have the 3rd party ones but is out of stock currently as well. It is silver in color but as I said earlier, if you are intending to purchase the Canon telephoto or wideangle lens, it is going to be black in color as well. Unless you juz need the lens adapter, it is alright to go for the 3rd party silver in color type.

Why not go for the original instead? There is another one from www.lensmate.com made of Aluminium and costs $USD$24.95 without shipping. Does not include hood.

Hi Bro,

Lens hood = Usually a plastic cover which is tied down to your camera body and covers the lens on your camera.

Lens adapter = You will attach this piece after your remove the original ring from your camera for mounting of lens.

err....Lens Hood is the funnel shaped thingy that you attach to your lens or lens adaptor when you take photos in bright light to minimise glare and sun flare. The original S2 IS lens hood is made of hard plastic, but other lens hood around might be in rubber form that you can extend when needed.

The plastic cap with the word "Canon" printed on it is the lens cap.
