yup thanks latmo for organizing it and informing me as well thanks.. :) think i give this time a miss heehee a gal who know near to nothing abt photography... cant understand much from sharing and has little to share so let me go bi guan xiu lian 1st heehee :) btw my purpose here is to inform u all go check national park board abt SBG bahz.. think got orchid garden for u all to shoot marco wor.. i read some time back by chance.. told latmo also.. hmm do u know how to go now? if not, i can try to tell u all how.. but ur meeting place where?

starry, macro don't need to go orchid garden. also orchid garden has a lot of shade so may not have enough light to do a good macro.

suggest you to look out for anything interesting along the path, anywhere at all. caterpillar, spiders, beetles amongst the grass, little flowers (you said macro right?) and so on. good to train your perception, a good photog needs that.

I recall someone here using G5? if you dare to manually turn your G5 lens barrel, you can get extreme close-up from your stock G5 lens. you can focus at 1-2cm from the subject.

have fun, and remember watch out for the ordinary. they look very different at close-up :)

bring tripod if you can, just in case you need it and the situation allows.

also bring softbox, bounce card or reflector in case you need to flash. you guys using external flash? if not then try to take outside in the sun.

if got neutral density filter also bring in case the sun is too strong.

remember to use manual mode otherwise your exposure and colour balance may defer from frame to frame :)

Actually I did those manual b4. But it end up some degree or some place got more light compare to others.. end up exposure different.

you using full manual by setting focus, aperture and shutter speed? yah well do some processing in photoshop to get the colours and exposure closer and then stitch.

chunger, I do have a CPL. Will bring along but I won't be using it. You can have hold of it just take good care. Oh yah. You have the adapter right? cause I need the adapter myself

simplicity, jtb = Just too bad.

i have wide , closeup +4 and ND+4

New here but had been using the A80 for almost a year now.

In fact been to SBG once and it was a very enriching trip. Lots of flora and objects to include in the list. Though there is no particular perfect timing of the day but my preference is still the late afternoon-evening time for photoshoot there coz more things to take (people, flora, sunset just to name a few)...

Just one query to the A80 users if you guys do not mind I posting technical questions. Do you guys experienced too deep a blue hue when taking blue objects (objects suppose to be purple seen as blue in the photograph)?Or is it some silly settings I missed?

too bad i new user here.
dunno what you taking abt as yet :D
