I left after the second theme after i discovered what the 3rd theme was... and expecting to see what people gonna shoot from the previous 2 years... :bsmilie:

not being a wet blanket, but i think the atmosphere was great. :thumbsup:

I think they should and will care as this have serious implication on Canon Singapore reputation as a respectable company. If anyone from Canon is reading this series of discussion. Please address this and show us that Canon is a responsible company. :angry:

I also kena de virus . . . luckily can be deleted using basic de anti-virus software.

Hi, I don't think all the laptops are corrupted, mine is ok (scan perform as a precaution). :think:

Mine were clean too, scanned my transferred folders and the cards then formatted to be safe.

This reminds me of the H1N1... the more people are connected, the faster the virus (pun intended) will spread.

Ok guys, There is a virus detected in my card at the moment BUT I am not sure if it's the virus at the stations. This is it. Detected by AVS and Norton.

My friend carelessly left his card at 1 of the ladies at the printing photo booth(successfully took his print) after the 3rd theme around 7 plus. I went to Canon photomarathon website and canot find any contact, Whom does he call or contact to ?

HEYHEY!!!! CANON PERSONAL ANNOUNCED AT THE END OF THE EVENT SAYING THEY FOUND A CF CARD ASKING PPL (not much left, most left already) TO CLAIM AND VERIFY.. could be ur frens.. try calling them? erm canon csc maybe?

i think most them strike a no. of jackpot, happen to saw 1 of the guy
laptop detect 4 virus on & off before my card is place into, and all the way he clicking X box to close and close! and so got it for no reason! :angry::angry:

i think lots of participants had the virus originally in their cards, hence infecting the downloading station coms, and hence passing it on to others.

i think it's participants' responsibility to ensure their own cards are virus free, it just takes some irresponsible users to harm everyone, including the organizers. I doubt the organizers would wanna spend extra time to scan everyone's cards before allowing downloading, the logistics might turn out to be a nightmare.

i believe their coms/macs are "wiped clean" before being used for the competition, and another "wipe" after the competition. So i guess, it's just plain unlucky for those who kena. I too found some on my card, after discovering my sd card had something "service manger.exe" or similar at the printing station. Did a scan on my own com, cleared it, download the photos, put back the card into cam and format. Probably will do another full scan on my com later. :bsmilie:

Another year's marathon gone, lets look forward to the next, and hope there's more improvements (actually last year, i too kena virus on sd card, did the same procedure too).

I am using AVG 8.5 free version now.
Scan my card just now, seems like it is not affected by the virus.
Not so sure whether it is really not affected or not.
Anyone can detect that virus using AVG 8.5 free version?

Yup, im using that. Updated, cleaned the sd card of mine.
