quite sharp.
I know cannot compare to primes. haha~
ok back to the main subject. that time i tried someone's sigma. but I see the color very cold. So I did not buy it.

maybe it is a mixture of green and blue.are you saying the opposite?? more green/blue then it become colder right? hehee
anyway it is well know that 17-55mm F2.8 is the best in the league
canon body and canon lens are the best match i guess!![]()
sigma for built & IQ, and af issues have been solved on the latest batch...
anyway, most of the top end FF cameras are paired with the ef50mm f1.4 for advertisement. canon would not pair up a lousy lens with their 5D mk2, 1ds mk2, 1ds mk3, 1dmk4.... its a testimony.... if its a lousy lens then they are shooting themselves in the foot.
the canon ef 50 f1.4 is hard to go wrong....
well if they really wanna to have a standard lens to go for their ads, 50F1.4 is definitely a better choice becuz it between F1.2 and F1.8 (this ads are not telling ppl that 50F1.4 is a better choice actually)
definitely they will not use Sigma F1.4 for Canon ads.

they also have 85 1.8, 100 2 and L lenses like 85 1.2, 135L... im not sayin these other lenses are lousy, don misqoute me again, its jus that they have faith in the old workhorse.
So have you encounter or hear stories of the af motor problem for the Canon 50mm/f1.4?
i prefer sigma with smaller filter...
77mm filter is too big.....huhu
