Especially so after I saw over at DPR this nifty little flash : :thumbsup:

Its tiltable and it uses 2xAA batteries for about 250 shots! Great for family outings!

ya..good price... but further search seems to suggest that it may not work with newer Canon camera. works with 40D and G9, not with 50D, not too sure about G10 --> http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/read.asp?forum=1010&message=29499831

Any news on the underwater housing for G10? I went to Canon store during lunch and the staff there quoted me $299 for the casing but only available sometime in December. Thinking Canon store offering $299, MS, AP or OP should be offering cheaper??

bought it at 110 at cp..
went there and enquire - one of the reps quoted me 150..
i said - uh? clubsnap field reported at 103.
he said impossible.
i walk away...
then i retturned half hour later to look at something else..
he came to me said he made a mistake..he said 110 ok.

Does anyone knows if this flash could work as a AF assist light for canon DSLR?

Too bad it doesn't seems to be fitted with a near-infra light, otherwise it's perfect against those mammoth flashes!

the e-quote (dated 30 Oct) that I got from CP stated $786 (incl GST) w 8GB card. Perhaps you can ask for an e-quote

i called up Alan Photo from sim lim yesterday and they quoted me $770 inclusive GST and a 8 gig card

very interested in this G10.

i realised that these 2 weeks. the price is going lower. (because just release?)
wonder when it will be stable. and whether i should wait for the next IT fair in singapore for the price to go lower?

please include me in the mass purchase.. (if there is any)
