Canon EOS 5DS and 5DSR

Folks, need to check. Does the focus indicator in the VF work when doing manual focussing? I remember it was working on my 5D2 with the TSE 17mm. Using a Tokina 16-28mm with the 5DSR now but I'm not seeing the focus indicator when the lens is switched to manual focus. Thanks!

Might wanna look at this http://photo.stackexchange.com/ques...-showing-when-focused-on-my-canon-5d-mark-iii
They changed the focus confirmation since Mk III.
I tested the TSE 17mm on the 5DSR and was able to get the red focus indicator.

Thanks. The focus indicator is working. It's just that Canon doesn't include 2 arrows beside it, prompting users the direction of the focus ring they should turn before getting focused.

Hi, just to check something before committing. I heard that there is a 2-second delay for the image to appear on the LCD. I understand that continuous shooting will inevitably cause some delay to the LCD image, but will this issue arise when taking just a single RAW shot? Thanks!

Yes, it happens even for single image. Best to use faster speed cards to minimise the time.

I dont think its that obvious if you're using a fast CF card
