SBWR = Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserves. Located in the northwest part of Singapore, a nature reserve specially retained and maintained to allow migratory birds to take a break during their migration journey, and naturally, you'll find local resident birds there as well.

Apart from birds viewing, there are mangrove walk where you can find interesting subjects like beetles, wasps, jumping spider, butterflies etc for macros.

There's also many areas where you can do nature landscape shots, like the viewing tower, bridge and shelter areas.

Welcome to the club ;)! There's 2 things you may need to learn. One of them is SSS = Shoot Shoot Shoot, a shoot outing organised for us to gather and learn from each other. The other is a virus, BBB = Buy Buy Buy, a virus that will eat into your pocket, wallet and piggy banks.

Interested to join us for a SSS outing at SBWR on the 30th May morning?

Btw, RyanG has make us a blog to update on all ongoing events and outings by the members and club ;).

i have thought of photography(er) clique.
but upon verification, clique means (in the negative meaning):

A)
A narrow circle of persons associated by common interests or for the accomplishment of a common purpose; -- generally used in a bad sense.

B)
To associate together in a clannish way; to act with others secretly to gain a desired end; to plot; -- used with together.

finished watching PB series even before they hit our shores, same for heroes.

Use the smallest F number. That will give you maximum blur your lens is capable of.
You can try the Av-mode to change your aperture settings.

i'm trying to use the 18-55 and the 55-250

is the smallest F number the same as biggest app? i dun think so rite.

i know that 眼睛是心灵之窗 so does that mean that i have to focus the red dot on the eye.

Yeah, the subject's eyes. In portraits, it is important that the eyes are sharp. ISO-wise, try to keep it as low as possible. Otherwise, the photo will be very "noisy" with white grains.

Item on table, MF or AF doesn't matter. What matters to blur the background is to keep your F value as low as possible.

yup, the smaller the f-number, the bigger the opening of the aperture.
thats why any lens with f/1.2 or f/1.4 cost a kidney or liver.

Smallest F value is equal to biggest aperture for that particular lens.

oh minzhui, for the ISO part, read your 450D manual page 57, pretty good and simple explanation of which ISO to use and such.

happy shooting! :)
