actually monopod no need ballhead, easy to control.

Sometimes for portrait postions?

Actually I get monopod not only I can use for sports or nature using heavy lenses. I can shoot high-angle. Something that I always wanted to try. Hehe! ;)

see u guys (and gal) tomorrow...

yup the tamron one i posted earlier all the way from UK. so touched :(
what a great birthday present

We share the same birthday!! Happy birthday dude. Congrats on the great birthday prezzie. I had to buy my own present (Sigma 30mm). :(

My parents did get me an interesting book though.

so, anyone interested on lim kopi session at sls?
Date: 15 May 09, friday
Time: 7pm

care to show some hands of those who are coming?
will PM my hp number to those who responded.
i will be meeting my supplier at 6pm, so staying back for kopi session after that. else I will walk ard before going home.

I'm on for this one. And I won't be late this time.

Bintan!

btw, the pengarang trip scheduled for this saturday has been postponed till a further date. I felt that more people join in will be much more fun than only a handful of us.

Stay tuned as i planned for another date.

Btw, jimmy, let's discuss some possibilites of a weekend getaway, yah? Keep shooting in sg also a bit sian although got many places i have yet to explore. Lol.. :bsmilie:

Good idea.

What's the pricing like? Work towards a budget on accomodation. $$ should spend more on food I guess. But accomodation not the extent that it's beyond living. :bsmilie:

Some of the places in Malaysia that we can go.

Backpacking:
Penang
Malacca
Kukup
KL

High-End Leisure / Star Gazing:

Pulau Redang
Cameron Highlands
Genting Highlands

Although I am from Bintan myself... I don't know the pricing for the resort there :bsmilie:

Actually I am very interested in Redang :D
How many D/N does the package cover?

Some of the places in Malaysia that we can go.

Backpacking:
Penang AWESOME streets, alike Singapore but with historical flavour!
Malacca Another stunning historical city, good for rich colourgul photoresque sites and nightlights
Kukup- Kinda blend but on short trips, worthwhile, pretty sunsets too.
KL - Awesome nightlife! Awesome street lifes with the all sorts of tourists and such. You can shoot the Twin towers to death :D

High-End Leisure / Star Gazing:

Pulau Redang - I wanna follow if you guys go there hehe
Cameron Highlands- Lovely scenic landscapes :D
Genting Highlands- Quite boring in my opinion for photography hehe

Airasia just started flying to Penang and Langkawi. Penang is a joy to shoot street photography.

Why don't wanna explore Borneo? Been to Kuching, Sarawak twice in the recent months and am charmed by the place. With the low cost of LCC, Kuching round trip only cost S$80 for me :D
And you can experience exotic Malaysia!
