Shoot 1 pic and the file numbering is your rough gauge. If not, somewhere in this forums, someone has a link to a shutter count finder for 450D. =)

I am considering a starter kit for studio shoot (mainly for product/portraits).

I looking at this actually but any other alternative that cost lower than that and is that kit good for a starter?

forget this lor... i also have a set of lighting, but seldom use.
worst, collect dust. my cactus radio trigger set were used more then the lighting set.
so my advise is to save the $$ for other things.
