No point getting the latest. Spending less on procs to chiong for a good graphics card + ram + storage.
But the person who is offering me the mod is using OSX on his i7core. Pwned! Haha! :thumbsup:

i'm fine with this casing.
Q8200 is considered as a crippled quad when compared to its predecessor Q6600. Why choose Maximus Formula II?
Anyway, your specification unless you're overclocking your system, otherwise DDR2 1066 RAM is not required. DDR2 800 could easily do the job.
Anyway, remember to factor in the lack of driver support for various components in OSX. That might be an issue, especially when it affects graphics, sound and network.
Why Q8200 + Maximus? It is due to it's stability after overclocking and Q8200 is cool while still running high demand multi-tasking thus needless for a custom heatsink.
And yup, 1066 becos I'm overclocking.
Compatibility issues will be covered by the person doing it for me. From setup to installation to free delivery to my doorsteps, all covered.
