Woohoo!!!
Finally finished my pop up flash diffuser project liao!!! Took 2 hours to finish man...
Lai Lai... Share my project with you guys. Btw, note that this is not the 90cents myojo cup noodles project as I want something which I can control light diffusion.
1st off: Translucent files from Popular Bookstore @ $1.47 ea.
Next: 1 x Transparent Tape and 1 x White Gaffer material tape
Then: Tempura Paper x 1 pack from Daiso @ $2 ea.

Lai Lai~ The steps to the making of the diffuser.
Step 1: Put about 10 pcs of tempura paper into the files and adjust to the top. As the paper is not big enough to fill up the whole area, you need another 10 pcs to cover the bottom area. Cut away the excess portion.
Step 2: Measure the diameter of the Lens holder (The area before the focusing ring and control buttons so it will not obstruct focusing ring). Cut that diameter from the diffuser.
Step 3: Do a test to make sure the diffuser fits well. Fine tune the diameter from here on till you are satisfied with the holding ( I suggest slightly bigger as you can further adjust using tapes.
Step 4: Tape up the sides of the inner hole using the transparent tape.
Step 5: If the hole is still slightly loose from the fitting, use the white gaffer tape to further strengthen the fitting.
Test photos next post...

Fits nicely to the lens and not obstructing the focus ring, lens buttons nor the body.
Test with pop up flash in my room with curtains and door close. If the light is not bright or dim enough from the diffuser, you can adjust by removing or adding the tempura paper to the file as the top portion is the full tempura paper portion. Just slight the holders and do the adding or removing.

Now I know why my thirsty hippo don't work well with my camera!
I did not put in somewhere with air tight. Just inside a cupboard with a loose door, that's all.

I spent $4.65 in total
.Popular files @ 1.47 ea, I bought 2 pcs and got 10% discount from Popular card (thanks to my frd who went with me) so it's $2.65 for the files.
Tempura paper is $2 per pack for 40 pcs pure white color.
Tapes actually share cost with my bro so consider family usage cost
