Hey guys, i'm sure you have read about the Saving Charmaine, Thread on the main page, i was wondering if the 450D club would be willing to rope in and help a little. What do you think guys? I'm in for it.

hey guys, if im only buying a flash for the upcoming wedding and perhaps non-commercial (family events) is it okay not to dwell so much and buy an average flash?

my budget is only 300, any recommendations?

Moller: 3 (Managed to get my cousin and 2 frenzs, but leh all no experience)

Date: 21 June 2009 (Next Sunday)

Meeting Place/Time: Clementi MRT @ 8am

Location: choochoo place

Outfit: 1 set casual

Ratio: 2:1 & max 3:1

Additional Equipment: 5-in-1 reflector, 1 Canon St-E2 Transmitter

Yup. I guess there's 2 slots for helpers? That will make 11 + 3 pax on the ground. Haha!

Btw, any logistics that is needed?

For the shoot:
Lightstands?
Flashes/Strobes?
Batteries?
Flash Transmitter/Receivers?
Reflectors?
Shoot-Thru Umbrella?

For the people:
Refreshment? Drinks?

We can share the cost. ;)

It will be a 2D1N trip as I felt that since we had travelled, we should stay a little bit longer and enjoy the serenity of beachside breeze for the weekend.

Date: 27 to 28 June 2009

Meeting Place/Time: Changi Point Ferry Terminal @ 7.30am

What to bring:

1. Passport (Please check for at least 6 months of validity)
2. Malaysian Ringgit & Singapore Dollar (For bumboat ride)
3. 1 set of change clothing
4. Camera + Tripod
5. Medication (if any)

What we can do there:

* Chill and TCSS
* Cycling
* Water Body Surfing
* Chasing the Sun (Sunrise & Sunset)
* Chasing the Stars (Milky Way, Starry Night and Star Trails)
* Food and Booze
* Light Painting (Need to purchase light sticks or firecrackers)

Cost of Accomodation: RM420

Accomodation will be a beachside chalet at Sungei Rengit called Sunrising Resort. It has nine beds in three bedrooms. There’s also basic amenities provided like hot shower etc.

Cost of Bumboat Ride: SG$9

Other information:

* Bicycle Rental can be done over at Pengerang Jetty.

I surely cannot make it on weekdays.
Recently, work from 830am to 11pm daily.
Sometime, work like hell for weekend also.
Around July, I will have some spare time.

50mm 1.8 is a great portrait lens for crop bodies.

Don't know whether to bring B&W or colour film...
